Mystery Solved - Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser!

...though not by me! *LOL*

Remember when I posted about my Influenster MysteryBrand VoxBox? (Hehehe, that's quite the mouthful!)
I was trying it out for testing purposes and based on how my hair was feeling after each use and how much I liked it and how good it smelled, I had guessed that it was L'Oreal Matrix Biolage.  The shampoo and conditioner was so thick in consistency, it felt like it must be a salon brand kind of product.
Yesterday was a Happy Mail Day and I came home and found this on my doorstep:
@GarnierCan @Influenster
#damageeraser #fructis

Weee! I *LOVE* Happy Mail Day!  And it already cared about my well-being by wishing me care! Awww, thanks Garnier!
So, with the box already branded, the mystery was solved and I remember when seeing it, I was like, "Garnier? Whaaaat?!"  I was surprised because I really thought it would be a salon brand but I was off!  Which is a GOOD THING!  Here I am thinking it was salon product but meanwhile, you can pick up the whole product line at local retailers at, BONUS:  less cost! *happy dance*
Yes, my happy dance looks EXACTLY like that.

And can I just tell you how much I LOOOOVE this VoxBox?!  I feel like there should have been a soundtrack playing or choirs singing in the background when I first opened it for the product reveal!

It's like a box of hair care treasure!  It's time to get my shower on! Bom-chicka-wah-wah!
CONFESSION: So I didn't get a chance to shower yesterday - the Little Miss decided she wanted to have super short cat naps and every time I thought she was down for the count, the second I laid her down in her napper, her eyes would pop open and it would look like she was saying "BAZINGA! I'm not sleepy!" #goodhygieneisoverratedanyway
Back to my treasure chest of haircare!  For the mystery product line reveal, Influenster testers get the FULL-SIZED products and it's a good thing too!  First, I ended up finishing the mystery sample products and actually needed to go out and buy more shampoo (again, who has time to do that?!)
Here's some official product info for you:

"Heat styling tools can cause some serious damage to your hair.  But why compromise on your favourite look?  Now you don't have to with Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser!  With Phyto-Keratin Complex and CupuaƧu Butter, the unique formula reconstructs hair strength 90% from root-to-tip and prevents future damage."

Today, my "me" time once Bart got home from work was a shower (yesterday's "me" time was to go out and about since I haven't left the house very often in the last few weeks.  Missed the Little Miss while I was gone, so I ended up actually just shopping for her while I was out!) and I got to play with my haircare treasures!

Even though I've already been using the product for the last week, it still feels like this brand new thing now that it's all in official packaging and everything!  I also used the Strength Reconstructing Butter which makes it sound all fancy and luxurious (anything using the word "butter" seems pretty decadent and splurge-y, doesn't it?).  During the mystery sample testing, I didn't get the butter so it was nice to try it out with the full line.  The information card designates that it "is designed to intensely reconstruct hair's strength for strong, rejuvenated and shiny-looking hair.  Use weekly for optimal results."

Et voila!  Look at me! Showered and made-up, say whaaat?!

So that's after using the full product line, a blow dry and a little bit of straight ironing just so I can say I did the whole shebang.  Normally when I use my flat iron, I use a heat "lotion" on my hair, but I forewent it today in order to really put the product through its paces.

Having pretty fine, thin kind of hair, I liked how my hair was feeling after everything was said and done.  I also don't usually wear my hair like this normally as it always looked flat to me whenever I pulled it back in a ponytail of any sort.  For some reason, I'm digging this look today and I'm not sure whether or not I can attribute it to the products or if I'm just having a good hair day or experiencing the last legs of awesome pregnancy hormone hair.

My hair definitely doesn't feel dry or brittle like I'm used to it.  Right before I gave birth to the Little Miss, I actually had to go in to the salon for a trim because my hair just felt completely dead.  I could gather the ends of it and squeeze it in my fist and you could actually hear it kind of crackle, it was so dry and straw-like (seriously, not infomercially speaking!)  That was more than four weeks ago and I had been noticing that my hair was starting to resemble that again and this time around, it's not like I can just pick up and go hang out at a salon getting my hair did whenever I feel like it anymore, so I wasn't really pleased.

With my hair today, I can handfuls of hair and it just feels nice.  Definitely not dry and just nice and smooth.  It's doing what I want it to do and I'm actually liking the end results after my limited styling knowledge.  As I mentioned during testing week, my hair smells AWESOME because the product line does and overall, I really have no complaints.  Before I ended up pulling it back, I was running my fingers through it quite a bit because it kind of gave that "after getting your hair done" feel - you know the feeling.  The same kind that makes you not want to wash your hair after getting it done because you know that you won't be able to get your hair to feel the same way once you do.

And that's that!  My very first VoxBox from Influenster and it was pretty awesome!  I hope I did it justice and you know that if I wasn't feelin' it, I would definitely let you know.  As part of the Influenster program, I received the products to try and test out for free and besides that, do not receive any further compensation, so there's no reason for me to talk it up if I wasn't really all that pleased with it!

CONFESSION: So, you know how I mentioned that I don't normally wear my hair this way?  Chances are, I won't be wearing it that way again for quite a bit because not more than an hour after that photo was taken, the Little Miss totally christened it with an impressive waterfall of projectile spit up.  *LOL*  I now smell like salon quality loveliness and sour milk spit-up. #thatsreallifeyall

To close this out, the next time I'm out and about rounding up our toiletries, I would totally pick up this product again and the bonus that it is NOT a salon product, I won't have to shell out an insane amount of money to keep at it since I'm usually the kind of shopper that picks up any kind of shampoo/conditioner when it's on sale or not over $10 each - hey, what can I say?  My $ goes towards fitness gadgets! *LOL*  I would definitely recommend it to a friend or anyone who was wanting to try something that would help out with dry, damaged hair similar to how mine felt like.

And that's a wrap! #repairedhairdontcare #althoughitsmellslikebreastmilk
